“Where Sex and the City meets Jerry Springer”
Date Me, Do Me, Dump Me – a naughty, side-splitting musical comedy by Steven Mitchell of New York City – will be premiering at Pittsburgh’s Rex Theater on August 2 and have a limited run through August 5. Presented by Milieu Theatrics, Date Me, Do Me, Dump Me features original music and lyrics by Marianne Forti and Leah Gray, formerly of the New York band “Two Chicks and a Casio.”
For the show, the Rex Theater will become a down and out bar, where the real-life audience is the patron, privy to the intimate (and true) dating escapades of the four main characters. Those patrons lucky enough to be seated in the VIP section will be catered to by the bar owner, played by Pittsburgh’s Deborah Starling-Pollard.
The show is comprised of four social misfits – played by Pittsburgh’s Caroline Schneider (Grace), Point Park University’s Leah Fox (Devon), New York Actors’ Georgia Haege (Tina) and Leah Keele (Penny). The show also features Pittsburgh native, Camden Shane (now a thriving Los Angeles model), as “The Bartender” and Point Park University graduate, Aubrey Klinger, who is directing and choreographing the show.
Included in your admission to the show is a one-hour social opportunity where Cocktails are Contagious and Singles can Mingle.
You can check out Date Me, Do Me, Dump Me from August 2 through 5 with both early and late showings.
Tickets are $25 and $45 for VIP (VIP includes center seating and 2 complimentary drinks)
